February was fabulous for fashion weeks around the world. Trending styles promise to bring sheer, satin and shine in bright bold colors and pastels. Patterned with Checks and mixed unexpected patterns, as well as being accented with fringes ruffles and plastic; yes, I said plastic.

Looks will be completed with multiple size bags and shoes in all the above-mentioned styles. I am a personal fashion week, as I am always in wonder of the various styles and talented designs. But this year I found my self-fascinated by the clean every day and wearable style of Ralph Lauren and the bold and strong Alexander Wang, as well as the passionate and elegant Nidal ( I couldn’t stop applauding after his Los Angeles show). If you missed any of the 2018 Spring/Summer fashion shows, I encourage you to head over to http://fashionweekonline.com, where you can catch up on many of the NYFW shows.

Makeup is also following the sparkling trend but, with a more subtle background. Bidding adieu to the bold brows, contoured fanatics and over highlighted disco effects. This season you will see more nearly naked skin. Cleaner and natural looks with softening lids, wings, and hints of glitter. Now, don’t be mistaken eyeshadow pallets will bring bold colors as well as the earth tones but, with a less overpowering effect. Lipgloss replaces the Matte madness, with coral tones and softer hues. Makeup will accentuate the natural beauty and skin care with dominate daily routines.

Fitness focuses forward. As we are approaching the end of 2018’s first quarter, don’t be frazzled if you did not meet your New Years resolution goals; summer won’t officially start until June. So break out your fashionable yoga pants, dust on a little sweat proof powder (with SPF) and keep going for your goal. Fitness is not a stranger to trends either. High-Intensity Interval Training or HIIT has been trending as the number one fitness routines this year. “A HIIT training session involves bursts of maximum-effort, very hard work (typically about 20 to 90 seconds), followed by a period of low-intensity recovery.”; according to Self Magazine (https://www.self.com/story/biggest-fitness-trends-of-2018). HIIT training is followed in popularity by group training and wearable technology.

You Wear It Well!

I love this quote, It is not only a very accurate statement but a point to be embraced and remembered. You are fabulous regardless of size or shape. Fashion has no boundaries. People set boundaries when they limit their choices based on a poor self-image. Embrace your body as your temple. Don’t tear it down but instead build it up. From size 0-28 or whatever; love it, own it and embrace it. Stay fabulous and have an awesome Thursday.

What’s Your Radar Telling You?

dog-meditation

Have you listened to your radar today?  What radar?  I’m talking about the most finely tuned instrument that not only is almost 99.99% accurate when something is not quite right but, the one that will also alert you to the earliest signs of imbalance. You guessed it, your body.

Being in tune with your body is so important to great health and vitality. It is your first defense against illness and imbalances.  You know when you have that feeling that “somethings not right” or “I just don’t feel good”.  Your radar is going off, your body is trying to alert you that there is a need, a situation and an occurrence.  Don’t ignore it, be in tune with it.

All symptoms may not be physical, if fact some can feel physical but seem more psychological.  The best example of this are simple cravings. Cravings for things like meat, ice, certain fruits, vegetables and, oddly enough I have even heard of someone craving red dirt;  these have been linked to a nutritional deficiency. If you’d like to know more about this check out the link below to an awesome article “5 Weird Signs You Could Have a Nutritional Deficiency“.

Your body is your number one radar.  It will start to ping when there is the slightest problem and all out alarm when things are getting critical, you just need to be in tune and responsive.  Listen to your inner self, seek an answer to what ills you (professionally or holistically, that is your personal choice) and, be well.

As always, stay Fabulous.

New Year’s Resolution Progress

Okay fabulous people it is April 2017. I know 99% of you made resolutions on New Year’s. You are now 1/3 into the New Year,  comment your progress below.  With that said,  what is a New Year’s resolution. My definition,  it’s that moment in life when you sit down and reflect on all the things in life you promise to yourself;  to do better,  make better and feel better.  (Big yawn),  okay how old are you? How many promises have you made to others that you kept?  Probably all if not most of them. Now mirror reflection time;  how many promises to yourself have you kept?   Okay you know the score. Today,  today, today, today!  You either reward yourself for a job well done or reorganize your priorities and be true to yourself. You made yourself a promise,  was it realistic,  was it do able?   Only you stop you from achieving all that you desire in life. Revisit your resolutions,  or as I like to call them, “lifestyle adjustments” and, begin again. Set realistic goals,  if you achieved your goals set new ones. But (and thats a big but,  lol)  never give up. Continue to grow,  challenge yourself and be the best you that there is.  Stay fabulous and know I believe in you even when you stop believing in yourself.  Happy 1/3 New Year’s!   😘
